Synthetic Cycle Workshop

A fictional independent bicycle repair workshop for everyday riders.

Keep a familiar bicycle on the road

Our example workshop maintains commuter bicycles, children's bicycles and non-electric touring bicycles. A mechanic checks the bicycle, explains the work and provides an itemized estimate before replacing any parts.

Routine work includes brake adjustment, gear indexing, chain replacement and puncture repair. We do not service electric motors, damaged carbon frames or suspension internals. Those jobs need a specialist with the right equipment.

How the repair process works

  1. Describe the problem and how you use the bicycle.
  2. Bring the bicycle for a condition check and an estimate.
  3. Approve the work before the mechanic starts.
  4. Collect the bicycle after a final safety check and test ride.

A basic tune normally takes one working day in this fictional schedule. A repair that needs a replacement part may take longer. The service guide explains the example prices and what each repair includes.
